Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
We are pleased to announce that Tracie Bowerman has now returned to practising from The ARCH Clinic.
Tracie Bowerman PGDip CBT, BA (Hons) Counselling, BSc (Hons) Social Care (Children and Families), MBACP (Accred.), MNCS (Accred.) - Counsellor
CBT focuses on how you think about the things going on in your life - your thoughts, images, beliefs and attitudes (your cognitive processes) - and how this impacts on the way you behave and deal with emotional problems. It then looks at how you can change any negative patterns of thinking or behaviour that may be causing you difficulties. In turn, this can change the way you feel.
Tracie says "Coming to therapy can be a relief although it can also feel like a step into the unknown and be frightening. I am a warm, empathetic and experienced therapist and my first priority is to support you to feel more at ease."
"My specialist areas of concern are Anxiety and Depression although all problems are treated. As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), I will gently facilitate a change in your behaviours, thinking and emotions so that you may cope more readily and confidently with daily life."
